Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam November 2013

Posted by: WeedPad, 17-11-2013
The Cannabis Cup starts in a couple of weeks. For those of you who don't know about the expo in Amsterdam, it's one of the largest events held for judging marijuana. The Cannabis Cup is held every year in Amsterdam and has been in some US cities the past couple of years as well.

Tickets for all access are called a judges pass and will cost $269. This fee includes bus tours to and from the expo, ceremony admission, concerts, seminars, a free t-shirt, travel guide and best of all... the chance to vote on your favorite weed!

The creator of the Cannabis Cup is Steven Hager, an editor at High Times magazine. The Cannabis Cup was started in 1987 and now offers marijuana strains to be judged from all over the world.

Every year the Cannabis Cup witnesses extreme marijuana strains, some stronger than it's predecessors. You'll see some of the old favorites like White Widow, Afghan Kush, Diesel among others. You'll also be able to get great pictures for your weed wallpapers collection. Many celebrities from Hollywood typically attend the festival.

There will be concerts every night at 8pm at the Melkweg during the Amsterdam expo. You will need to purchase a judges pass in order to attend. A day pass for the Cannabis Cup is 50 Euro per day. So if you're going to stay the entire 4 days you would be better off purchasing a judges pass. For an additional 69 euro you'll have access to all kinds of cool seminars, exhibits etc.

If you're not into hanging with the family this Thanksgiving, head on over to Amsterdam and sample some of the finest weed. While the weed may not be free in the coffeeshops, some vendors have set up booths in the exhibit hall and might have some tasty samples.
